Welcome to 2026.
A fresh year, a clean slate, and probably a browser with at least 27 tabs still open. Digital investigators everywhere know the feeling.
This year, may our queries run fast, our logs stay readable, and our inbox contain fewer mysteries than usual. May every suspicious domain resolve to something harmless, every strange alert end up as a false positive, and every OSINT rabbit hole lead somewhere useful instead of three hours of “how did I get here?” browsing.
In 2026, we deserve tools that behave, data that cooperates, and platforms that do not change their interface the moment we finally get comfortable with them. We deserve clearer leads, kinder deadlines, and cases that wrap up neatly, even if real life rarely works that way.
Most of all, may this be the year when our hard work makes someone safer, exposes something that needs fixing, or simply brings clarity where there was confusion. Digital investigations remain one of the quiet forces that keep the online world running in a somewhat orderly line.
So here’s to another year of curiosity, sharp thinking, and well-timed coffee.
Happy New Year!
